Mr. Nebart Mwapwele is a trade economist with extensive knowledge and experience in business management, projects and private sector development. Currently working as a Lead Consultant at Seabreeze (T) Ltd and recently worked as Executive Director for Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), responsible for strategic planning, policy design and analysis, project planning and advocacy issues. He has managed various projects supported by various donors including the EU, World Bank, and International Trade Centre. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Trade and Bachelor of Business Administration both from the University of Dar es salaam. SKILLS: • Experienced business development expert with more than 15 years at international and national levels; Facilitated trade missions to various countries including Presidential Trade Mission to Oman; Dubai Expo in Dubai, U.A.E; Uganda, Malawi, and Zambia. • Extensive experience at both senior managerial and technical roles in Private Sector Development, Policy analysis, financial management, planning, project design and management; • Programme leadership experience involving managing/scheduling deliverables and logistics, assembling programme teams, interfacing with donors and partners, managing communications, and delivering presentations. Experienced manager with a solid track record as an effective team leader; • Expert in Project Management, Policy analysis, policy design and formulation processes; As a consultant, he participated in the review of the National Trade Policy 2003 and review of the Investment Policy 1997. • Grant management experience and familiarity with M&E; project management/ documentation/ proposal requirements and contracts of a number of donors including the EU Commission, DFATD, AUSAid, USAID and GIZ. Proven expertise in proposal writing, including conceptualizing and technical writing; • Expertise in Value chain and market analyses, market systems facilitation, capacity building and baseline studies. Proven capacity-building advisor for agribusinesses and multi-stakeholder platforms; • Experience of working with SME and youths on business development services, Access to Finance, and capacity building; He managed a project for Local Enterprise Development with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). He managed project activities in Mbeya, Songwe, Rukwa and Katavi Regions. • Extensive experience with staples, dairy, horticulture, oilseeds, livestock, food processing market analyses, forestry products, industry facilitation and technical support; • Proven record of working in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
