1.0 Purpose of the training
This course is designed for professionals who aim to deepen their understanding of construction contract law, enhance their skills in contract administration, and master the techniques of dispute resolution.

Course Outline
The training shall cover the following modules;
- Construction Contract Law
- Standard Forms of Contact: Explore the various standard contract forms used domestically and internationally
- Construction Disputes & Resolution with examples
- Adjudication vs Arbitration with examples.
- Mediation and the role of Arbitrator to facilitate reaching a resolution, whence, to make a Consent Award
- Ascertaining for which related matter having a criminal content or criminal allegation can an Arbitrator have jurisdiction.
- Need for clarity and certainty in an Award
- Registration of an arbitral Award under Arbitration Act, 2000 to secure a Court Decree
- Execution of a Decree under CPR, Order XXI: Master the process of registering an arbitral award under the Arbitration Act, 2000, and securing a court decree for execution under CPR, Order XXI.

- All practicing Architects, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Public Officials tasked with overseeing construction projects.
- Judges, Lawyers, Adjudicators and Arbitrators (or construction professionals who aspire to acquire adjudication and arbitration skills).

5.0 Study tour
Participants will have the unique opportunity to visit the Atal Setu Bridge, India’s longest sea link toll bridge, which spans 21.8 km and was constructed over 65 months at a cost of USD 2.2 billion. This tour will provide insights into the complexities and challenges of large-scale infrastructure projects.
6.0 Facilitator
Eng. S.J. Chavda Has over 40 years’ experience in construction sector, having overseen, personally, over 300 projects. He has Adjudicated or acted as Arbitrator for numerous disputes; he has also facilitated several Amicable Settlements through Mediation at an early stage of arbitral proceedings.
